The Pack is BACK!

Scout Families,

Are you ready to get your Scout ON? We are resuming our regular meetings and fun this month. Here are a few key dates, updates and items for your information.

We have had to say farewell to two families who contributed a great deal last year: The Bass and Casson families. I will truly miss them but am so grateful to them for all they have done to grow Scouting in our community. In other news, Rebecca Mize will become our Treasurer and Samuel Mize our Wolf Den Leader. I need Volunteers for the following roles: Membership and Tiger Den. You know my motto "choose or be chosen." :)

Monday, August 18th: Our first Meeting will be held at the same time and place. Expect to be actively working with your Cub on a requirement from the Den/Pack categories. If your Cub would like a Badge for achievements gained last year, I will need to see a completed book. Thus far, I have badges prepped for B. Mize and G. Collins. If I have missed the review of a book-call me and I will get 'er done.

Saturday, September 6th: The annual Fort Stanton Camporee & Merit Badge Challenge has been re-invented. Based upon feedback from last year, this years' focus is on Boy Scout merit badge opportunity to include Boys from our entire Council area. However, Cubs can have their fun too! We will have NM Game and Fish provided archery, games, campfire time and a mule-ride if your Cub is inclined. You are encouraged to camp overnight but a reservation for your tent space is required no later than August 25th.  The fee is $5.00 for the day and is due upon arrival. Food is entirely on your own. Expect more details from me.
