Paying It Forward: March Pack Meeting Plans

Scout Families,

Our March Theme is "compassion" and we will be making crafts (requirements in each Den) to exhibit our compassion for wildlife and those in need within our community.

We have three meetings in March, each will be conducted by Eric, Assistant Cub Master, and supported by our Two Den Leaders, Sam and Autumn. I will be working in the evenings until Easter and am grateful for the Teams help during this time.


Our March 2nd meeting will cover "wildlife demands during a drought". We will be building bird feeders and discussing the challenges birds face on our mountain during the spring. 

Our March 16th meeting will cover "acts of kindness" where we will discuss the need to be aware of others feelings and craft several pins for people in need of kindness in our community: seniors who may be without family, a widowed neighbor, an ill acquaintance. Your Cub needs to make up a list of a least five people in need of kindness and bring it with them to the meeting. You and your Cub will deliver these pins and report back to the Pack at our next meeting on March 30th regarding why they chose a particular individual and the response from the individual.

Cub Pack #59's 2015 Pinewood Derby Details


Scout Families,

Our quintessential Cub Scout event is this Saturday, February 21st so make sure your Cubs and their Cars are ready to ROLL!




Where? First Baptist Church across from Cree Meadows Country Club-Lowest Elevation, enter gym near playground.

When? Cars will be checked in at 0830. Race starts at 0900.

Reminders:

Your car should weigh no more than 5 ounces. Adjustments can be made if you arrive ON TIME. Cub and Troop members should be in full uniform with a full belly.

Light snacks will be served. If the race continues through lunch, we will take a lunch break and proceed to complete it afterwards.

VROOOOM! Monday, February 16th, Meeting Agenda



Our Monday meeting will be focused upon the upcoming Pinewood Derby Race. We will be providing a practice track and a few tools so you and your Cub can run your cars and make modifications. Please bring any supplies you may need to work on axels, wheels and car weight.
